The heady days of dirty martinis and flirting in the sunshine are but a hazy memory, but a cosy winter’s night curled up on the sofa needn’t be a reason for the your love life to wane.
These cheeky little ‘cuddle’ cookies, filled with oats, pecan nuts and dark chocolate cocoa nibs could be as potent an aphrodisiac as oysters and champagne.
Ingredients:
180g of whole oats
4 tbsp almond, pumpkinseed or walnut butter
3 ripe bananas
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp of raw honey or blackstrap molasses (v. rich in iron)
1 large handful of cocoa nibs
1 large handful of broken pieces of pecans
NB: For a festive flavour, you can also add 1tsp of cinnamon and/or ground ginger & mixed spice or for a fruity flavour, the zest of 1 orange.
Preheat the oven to 200C (fan assisted 180C)
Place the bananas, almond butter, coconut oil and honey/molasses in a blender (it works in a nutribullet) and blend until smooth. Put the oats, cocoa nibs and pecans in a bowl and pour in the liquid mixture and combine. Scoop out the oat mixture with a large spoon or ice-cream scoop and place in rounds on a tray lined with grease proof baking paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, cool and feed ‘Cleopatra’ style into your partners mouth.
